CBSE Classroom Program for students of Class VIII, IX and X is one of the major sources of the future Toppers of Pathfinder. Pathfinder’s CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) department religiously follows the scholastic domains identified by CBSE in their official website www.cbse.nic.in and define the institution qualitatively.

Teaching Methodology

  • Lecture Plan: The Academic Board of Pathfinder, systematically follows the syllabus given by the CBSE board in their official website www.cbse.nic.in, and develops the lecture plan for the academic year. The lecture plan is prepared in such a way to help the students prepare for their school as well as Board examination.
  • Specialist Faculty: Teacher student ratio is 1:15 in each section of a class. Specialized subject-wise Faculty strictly follow the NCERT syllabusguide and nurture the students so that they availthe in-depth knowledge andessence of a particular subject—this, in turn creates their interest in a subject. If a student is not able to follow a particular topic in a class, the relevant teacher explains the topic on a one-on-one basis with the student.
  • Class Assignment: After completion of a topic in a chapter, class assignments are given to students to assess their ability of understanding and analytical thinking of the topic. The assignments are corrected by our faculty members with their expert comments.
  • Home Assignment: To enhance the problem-solving ability and intelligence level of the student, Home Assignments are provided to each student after completion of each chapter. These are corrected by the faculty members with their expert comments.
  • Tests – Class Tests, Quarterly, Mid-Term, Pre-Mockand Mock Tests: Regular tests are conducted to monitor the knowledge of the NCERTsyllabusacquired by the students throughout the year. Tests, like monthly class tests, Quarterly, Mid-Term, Pre Mock and Mock Tests are offered to all classroom students. Model answers are provided after the tests— these act as a guide to the students for the right answering methods to score the highest marks in the Board exams.
  • Performance Analysis: Performance Assessment and Appraisal are conducted regularly through evaluation of Home Assignments and various Tests. This leads to necessary corrective action by Pathfinder through remedial classes and special support to individual student.
  • Summer Camp: During Summer Vacation special classes are provided to the students of Class IX & X for enhancement of their school and Board syllabus.
  • Study Materials: Study materials for all subjects are provided to students of class IX and X. The Questions and Answers of subject wise NCERT text Books are solved, along with the H.O.T.S Questions, which guide the students towards right approach to attempt the questions.

Digital Support

  • Power-Point-Presentation: Our Specialist Faculty team conduct classes on specific subjects through Power Point Presentation that helps the students get a clear conceptual knowledge of the chapters.
  • Virtual Class: After each exam students will be provided with Virtual Doubt Discussion class on each subject. Paper setters will discuss and explain the entire question paper of all subjects. This enables the students to clear their doubts. This guides them to rectify their mistakes and technically answer the question as per Board norms
  • Parent-Teachers Meet: The two vital guides of students are their parents and their teacher. They are the best judge of his advancement, his shortcomings and his academic requirement. At Pathfinder, the Parent-Teacher meet on a regular basis, ensures that the students get the best support — at home and in Pathfinder.

Capsule Programme

Before the end of the Academic Year, we conduct Capsule classes for our class X and XII students.

In this programme we have allotted a specific duration of class for each subject. Specialist teachers gives students an overview of the whole syllabus giving importance to H.O.T.S. (High Order Thinking Skill) Questions, the key words to be mentioned in an answer and stressing on the important topic in their text books which is a must read before their Board Examination.

A month before the Board Examination helpline are provided to students, for their last minute doubts.

Special Features

  • Classroom classes are held in Hazra, Jodhpur Park, Behala, Dumdum and Saltlake. Mock Tests are held in all centres.
  • Counselling at every step by experienced Counsellors.
