ICSE 2024 History and Civics: Tips to Score Full Marks

Follow the scope of the syllabus strictly.
Tick the topics in your book which are present in the syllabus. After it has been taught start writing the main points in your exercise book. Write the main points in your exercise book. Write neatly by so that when you read it before your exam you find it enough to prepare them.
Make a list of all the important Dates and Events and the People and Places involved.
Civics
Make a list of all designations.
Their age, qualifications, term of office, posts, powers and functions.
A list of all the rules and laws.
Solve the previous years’ question papers. Though the level of difficulty would differ from year to year you can get a feel of the pattern, you can understand the areas you need to work on a little more and how prepared you are for the exam. You can also practice answering within the time limit. [Obviously keeping in mind the scope of the syllabus. ]
Every long answer should begin with a heading.
Write in bullet form wherever you get a scope to answer in points, – causes, consequences, foreign policies, aims and objectives, contributions etc.
Try utilising the first 15 minutes of your reading time well in choosing the questions you want to attempt. Since a lot of marks depend on the choice of your questions.
Allocate time for each section and try finishing them within the stipulated time.
Try to write two extra points for the answer, do not forget to mention the keywords or key points.
Study the pictures to attempt picture-based questions.
Unnecessary details and repetitions should be avoided.
ICSE 2024 Geography: Tips to Score Full Marks
Part-1 topographical sheet
Go through the Topographical Sheet which will be provided carefully and answer the questions accordingly. Practice conventional symbols regularly and give emphasis on these symbols and colours used in the Topo map.
Map pointing:
Take care in answering the map work questions. Do the required points on the Map neatly.
Choose the correct Option
Go through all the options provided for each question and then write the correct answer.
Part-2
Reading time should be utilised judiciously.
Mentally work out the answers during reading time.
