JEE MAIN Exam Full Form: Joint Entrance Examination
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), or JEE Main, consists of two papers. Paper 1 is a competitive examination for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE Main is also a prerequisite for JEE Advanced, which is held for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is used to determine admission to the country’s B. Arch and B. Planning programmes. The JEE Main 2024 will be held in two sessions for admissions to the next academic session. As a result, the applicants will profit in the following ways:
You will get two chances to enhance your exam marks. Hence if you cannot provide your best effort on the first try, do not worry.
During the first try, you will get first-hand experience taking an examination and will be aware of your drawbacks. Subsequently, you may correct them while completing the exam for the second time.
This reduces the likelihood of dropping a year, and droppers will not have to waste a full year.
If someone misses the examination due to circumstances beyond their control (such as the Board exams), they will not have to wait a whole year.
It is not mandatory to attend both Sessions. If you appear in more than one Session, the best of your JEE Main 2024 NTA Scores will be used for the Merit List/Ranking.
