ISC 2024 Exam Date: Candidate Directions

You must sit in the Examination Hall/Room five minutes before the starting time of the subject’s exam (including reading time).
If you arrive late for the exam, you have to give the Supervising Examiner a sufficient explanation. You will get the paper if you are more than half an hour late unless there are extraordinary reasons. You cannot leave the Examination Hall/Room until the paper is complete.
If you are given a question paper for which you have no registration, or if the questions indicate that a map or other stationery should have been given to you, bring it to the attention of the Supervising Examiner right away.
Read the general directions at the beginning of a paper attentively, such as the number of questions to be attempted, etc. You should only answer the number of questions specified on the question paper.
On the top sheet of the Main Answer Booklet, you must sign in the place provided for that purpose. Do not scribble or write anything on the top sheet.
Write your UID (Unique Identification Number), Index Number, and Subject clearly on the top sheet of the Main Answer Booklet. This information should also appear on the front page of each booklet used. If you are using loose maps, graph paper, or other similar materials, write this information on them as well. All entries on the Answer Booklet must be in black/blue ballpoint pen/fountain pen.

Candidate Directions for the 2024 ISC Board Exam

Unless the question paper’s rubric prevents it, write on both sides of each sheet of the Answer Booklet. While writing, leave a margin on both the right and left sides. On a separate line, begin answering each section of a question.
At the start of each answer, write the question number in the left-hand margin. Do not duplicate the question. Make sure to follow the same numbering system as the question paper. After answering each question, leave a line.
Remember that good handwriting and spelling will be in favour. You may write your answers with a black/blue ballpoint pen/fountain pen, however, pencils may only be used for diagrams. Bring mathematical and drawing instruments, as well as colour pencils, for subjects where you need them. You cannot utilise electronic devices, hands, desks, or other calculating machines.
In addition to the time given for writing the paper on the timetable, you will have 15 minutes to read the questions. Carefully read the questions. It would help if you did not waste time writing unnecessary information.

Further Candidate Instructions

When the time for writing the examination is up, arrange your response scripts in SEQUENTIAL ORDER, THE FIRST PAGE AT THE TOP, and so on. Check that your Unique ID (Unique Identification Number), Index Number, and Subject Paper are on the Main Answer Booklet/Continuation Booklet/Graph/Map. Fasten them in the top left corner and pass them over unfolded.
You will get the continuation booklets only when you have completed writing on all pages of the previously issued Answer Booklet/continuation booklet.
Attach all used/unused continuation booklets to the Main Answer Booklet.
All work, even rough work, should be on the same sheet as the rest of the answer.

*Note: CISCE will not keep candidate answer scripts for more than 60 days after the announcement of the results. Following that, it will be destroyed.
