JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The board has pointed out key criteria that the JEE Applicants must check before appearing for the JEE Advanced 2022 exam.
Performance basis in JEE Main 2023
Applicant must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (all categories included) in the JEE Main 2023 B.Tech /B.E. paper.
SeatReservation
The percentages of candidates in various categories who would be shortlisted are shown below:
10% for GEN-EWS
27% for OBC-NCL
15% for SC
7.5% for ST
Remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all.
Within each of these five categories, a 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.

Age Criteria
Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1998. The board has given 5 years of relaxation to SC, ST and PwD Candidates. This means that these mentioned candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1993.
Academic Qualification
Candidate must be XII (or equivalent) passed or appeared first time in either 2022 or 2023 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Students who have passed before 2021 are not eligible to appear for this year’s JEE Advanced.
However, if the Class XII (or equivalent) examination Board declared the results for the academic year 2020-21 on or after October 25, 2021, then the Class XII (or equivalent) candidates of that Board who appeared for their examination in 2021 are also eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2023, only if they meet all the other eligibility criteria.
In case the examination Board of Class XII (or equivalent) declared the results for the academic year 2020-21 before October 25, 2021, but the result of a particular candidate was withheld, then the candidate will not be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2023.
Number of attempts
A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
JEE Advance 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Students
Foreign candidates who want to appear for the JEE Advanced must follow this set of criteria. The following criteria are different from the criteria mentioned above. In addition, JEE Advanced 2023 exam will be conducted in any foreign country.
However, if a foreign candidate wants to appear for the examination at an Indian Centre, they have to bear their own expense including travel expenditures.
Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) and/or are OCI/PIO card holders will be treated as FOREIGN NATIONALS.
Must have completed their 10+2 level
Foreign candidates must produce identity proof of both their parents
These candidates receive 10% of the total seats in the JEE Advanced course

JEE Advanced 2023 Registration Dates for Foreign Candidates
The JEE Advanced 2023 exam date is the same for foreign candidates also, which is June 04, 2023, Sunday. However, the registration dates are different for foreign students.

Documents Required for JEE Advanced 2023 Registration
For successful registration, candidates have to upload the following correct documents, which are as follows;
Birth certificate or Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned correctly
Certificate for the Class XII (or equivalent examination) for those who first took the test in 2022 or whose Board announced the Class XII results (or equivalent examination) of the academic session 2020–21 on or after 25 October 2021.
If a Class XII mark sheet (or similar) for the 2023 test is available, it must be submitted.
Identity proof in the form of a Citizenship certificate/Foreign Passport/OCI/PIO Card where applicable
If the candidate’s name differs from that on the Class X certificate, a Gazette notification needs to be produced indicating the change of name

JEE Advanced 2023 Admit Card
Candidates who have successfully registered for the JEE Advanced 2023, can download the admit card from the online portal https://jeeadv.ac.in. Admit Cards will be released from May 29, 2023, Monday, 10:00 AM to June 04, 2023, Sunday, 2:30 PM.
Please note that students need to carry the hard copy of the downloaded Admit card on the JEE Advanced 2023 exam date. Otherwise, the applicant will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
