About JEE Main 2024
The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the JEE Main Examination twice a year. If you want to get into an undergraduate engineering programme at an NIT, IIIT, or any other Centrally Funded Technical Institution, you need to pass the JEE Main.

Eligibility for JEE Main 2024 Exam
Only candidates who have cleared the Class 12 / equivalent examination in the years 2022 and 2023 or are appearing in the Class 12/ equivalent examination in 2024 will be eligible to appear for the examination.
Candidates who have cleared the examination in the year 2021 or before and who will appear for the examination in 2025 or later will not be eligible to sit for the examination.

Instructions for the JEE Main Examination
Read the following points carefully to have a hassle-free exam experience:
Reach the examination hall at least 2 hours before the exam starts to stay on the safe side.
Once the exam hall is opened, take your seats as soon as possible. If you get late due to unpreventable circumstances, you won’t be able to listen to any important instructions that are announced before the exam begins.
You have to produce the admission card in printed form. Your identity will be verified by authorised members. If you fail to prove your identity, you will not be able to appear for the exam.
A specific seat will be allotted to you. You must sit in that place; otherwise, you may face cancellation.
You will get your question paper on a computer according to the subject you have chosen. On rare occasions, if you get a different question paper, immediately alert the invigilator. The invigilator will be there to help you out with any assistance that is required.
Take care to provide correct information, and do not sit for the exam on any other shift than the one allotted for you. If you fail to show up, you won’t be able to appear for a re-test.
What you will need to carry on the day of the examination
The following are essential to successfully appear for the exam:
A transparent ballpen
A self-declared printed admit card (A4 size)
Your photo (passport size). Carry the same photo you used while applying for the exam. You will need to paste it on the attendance sheet.
An authorised Photo Identity card. It may be a School Identity Card/ PAN card/Driver License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with a photograph/ Ration Card with a photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with a photograph/ Bank Passbook with a photograph. Remember that identity proof must be original, valid, and non-expired.
In case you belong to the PwD category, bring a relevant certificate authorised by a medical officer.
