JEE Main Application Form 2024 – Pathfinder Institute
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main Application Form 2024 on its official website. The exam will take place at 399 locations across India. Furthermore, the general male and female candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs 1000 and Rs 800 respectively. Check out the full article to find out how to apply for JEE Main in 2024. Before we get into the guide, let’s take a look at some important dates and details about JEE Main in 2024.

Registration for JEE Main 2024

JEE Main 2024 registration can only be done via “Online” mode. No other mode will be accepted. You can submit the Application Form online through the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA):
So, please register and take note of the System-generated Application Number.
1) Visit the NTA website to create a password, select security questions/ answers, review and submit your registration. The application number will be displayed on the screen. You will also receive an SMS/email to your registered Mobile No./Mail-id.
2) You must remember your application number, password and security question/response. If you forget your password, you must use the “Forgot Password” option. There are no other ways to recover your password. You cannot change/edit/enter any information without knowing your password. Therefore, do not share your password with anyone.
3) You’ll be able to use this application number for both JEE Main and 2024 Sessions. If you need to log in again, you’ll be able to do it with the system-generated Application Number and your own Password.
JEE Main 2024 Eligibility
There is no age restriction for applying to JEE Main 2024. If you have cleared your Class 12/Class 12 equivalent examination in 2022/2023 or 2024, you can apply for the JEE(Main).
Also, you need to have Mathematics, Physics, Language; Biology or Biotechnology; Chemistry or Technical Vocational Subject and any other relevant subject in your 10+2.
For B. Tech / B.Plan / B.Arch into NITs / IITs / CFTIs, candidates must have a minimum of 75% for the General Students category and 65% for the SC/ST category. Additionally, students may belong to the top 20% of their respective boards.
To gain admission in II-IT, CFIT, or NIT, you’ll need to have achieved at least 50% marks or higher in Chemistry, Maths, and Physics in your 10+2.
Guide to Create Password for JEE Main 2024 Application Form
To establish a strong password, follow these steps:
i. The password must be between 8 and 13 characters long.
ii. The password must include at least one uppercase letter.
iii. The password must include at least one lowercase letter.
iv. The password has to have at least one numeric value.
v. The password must include at least one special character, such as !#$%^&*-
JEE Main 2024 Application Form Details
Candidates can log in using the JEE 2024 application number generated by the system and a pre-made password to complete the Application Form, which includes filling in personal information, applying for the Paper, selecting the Examination Cities, giving details of their educational qualifications, and uploading their photos and documents (if applicable)
You have to provide your personal information like name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identification type and number, present and permanent address, mobile number, email ID etc. for your JEE Main 2024 Application. Do be cautious while entering the details as they cannot be changed after saving it.
Candidates must provide information about their location, category, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), family income, religion, citizenship, academic background, etc. Choice of Centre Cities will be limited to the State of Permanent Address or State of Present Address only.
- Upload a recent photograph in either colour or black and white, with 80% of the face (excluding the mask) visible, including the ears, against a white backdrop. The scanned photograph must be of a size between 10 and 200kb
- Next, upload your scanned signature in a size ranging from 4 to 30kb.
- Remember The scanned photograph and signature must always be in either JPG or JPEG format, and
- If applicable provide the scanned copy of your category certificate (SC, ST, OBC/EWS, etc.) of a pdf size between 50 and 300 characters.
- Please download, save and print the Confirmation Page from the Application Form (this page will not be available for download until the fee has been successfully paid) for future reference.

Fee for 2024 JEE Main Application Form
For Session 1, pay the fee within the specified period. But if you want to go ahead and apply for Session 2, you’ll have to log in again when the window opens up after Session 1 is over and you’ll have to pay the exam fee for Session 2 in that time frame.
- You can only submit the fee online using your Net Banking, credit card, debit card, or (UPI). You’ll have to pay processing fees and GST, plus the examination fee, from the bank from which you will be making the payment. The Confirmation Page of your online Application Form will only be created after you’ve paid the fee.
- If you don’t get your Confirmation Page after you pay the fee, you’ll need to get in touch with your bank to make sure everything goes smoothly or to get your money back if you’ve made duplicate or multiple payments.
Please download, save and print the Confirmation Page (this page will not be available for download until the fee has been successfully paid) for future reference.
JEE Main 2024 Registration: How to Recover Sign-In Password
Head to the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and log in to the “only registered candidate” option. Click on Forget Password and enter your JEE Main Application number and date of birth. You’ll get your Password in your registered phone number or email address.
How to Track Down the JEE Main 2024 Application Number
If you’ve misplaced or forgotten your JEE Main 2024 Application Number form number, just double-check your email and phone numbers. When you register, NTA sends your application number to your phone number and e-mail ID. If that doesn’t work, you can consult your downloaded copy of the application form to obtain the number
In case none of the aforementioned options work, you can contact NTA’s helpdesk number directly or write a letter to them to obtain your application number.
Points to Remember
- Whenever and wherever you need to submit documents like confirmation pages, admit cards, rank cards, caste/category/domicile/income certificates, etc., you’ll need to do it in the original. If the documents are generated by the portal, you’ll need to print them out. Anything like screenshots, photos of the screen, or images taken by/in your phone won’t be accepted as any valid document. Make sure your admit card is not messed up or soiled, or you won’t be allowed to take the test.
- You can only fill out one Application Form and be extra careful when filling out your phone number and email address.
- Make sure you have your own email address and phone number to use in your online Application Form. NTA will only send you relevant/important info/communication via email on your registered email address, and/or via SMS on your registered phone number. NTA will not accept any email or phone number from you that isn’t yours.
- It is not possible to download the Confirmation page or admit card after the completion of the examination. Neither the Rank card nor OMR images can be downloaded following the completion of the counselling. Candidates are advised to keep these documents secure.
- It is compulsory to provide the parent’s or guardian’s mobile number and email address during the online submission of the application form. A copy of the final scorecard will also be provided to the parents or guardians.
