NEET 2024 Counselling Process:
1. Registration
When NEET 2024 result is out you need to register for the counselling process. The registration process will include submitting your roll number, name, and contact info on the official website:

Class 12 certificate and mark sheet

2. Choosing the Right Medical College
You have to choose the medical colleges and courses, that you are aiming for. Keep in mind, that you must consider things like infrastructure, faculty, reputation, and location when making your choices.
Log in to the counselling website using your registration information
Navigate to the choice filling section
Look through the list of accessible colleges and courses
Select and prioritise your preferred options
Save and lock your choices before the planned date and time
Take a hard copy of your completed choices for future reference
3. Allotment of Seat
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) allocates the seats. The counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government institutions. Furthermore, it is 100% in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS, AIIMS, JIPMER, and BSc Nursing programmes for NEET 2024. Plus, admission takes place for almost 1 lakh MBBS, 27,698 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 603 BVSc & AH seats at 542 and 313 medical and dental institutes, respectively. 4. Reporting to Allotted College
After you receive your allotment letter, reporting to the medical college within the deadline is extremely important. Missing the reporting deadline may result in the cancellation of your seat, so be early. They will also perform a medical fitness evaluation. Once the verification is completed, you must pay the admission fees to reserve the seat. You have to take all the necessary documents for verification:

5. What is a free exit? What is the exit strategy for forfeiture?
Free Exit (only for Round 1) – When you are assigned a seat in Round 1. If you do not join/report to the college to which you have been assigned, you will not face any penalties. You will be eligible for additional rounds.
Exit with Forfeiture – If you are offered a seat in round 2 but do not intend to accept it. You can still exit with forfeiture (losing the security deposit) within the timeframe specified. But, when given a seat in the second round, you will be unable to quit or surrender your seat, nor will you be able to participate in state counselling.

Publishing the Results
Reporting to the medical or dental college of your choice
Provide a list of ten (of the registered candidates) stray vacancies to Deemed / Central Universities in exact order of merit, to be exhausted.
Deemed/Central Universities will conduct the last stray vacancy round.
State Quota for NEET 2024 Counselling
State officials will fill 85% of the remaining seats in government medical colleges and all of the seats in state-sponsored medical colleges. Admission to MBBS in government colleges as well as admission to private medical colleges would be governed by state NEET 2024 counselling norms which will differ from state to state.
