    The time for NEET 2023 or the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is just around the corner i.e., 7th May 2023. NTA has released the NEET 2023 application form on 6th March 2023 and the last date for form registration is 6th April 2023. Thus, your last-minute revision is in full gear and you will be under a lot of pressure and anxiety. Moreover, this will probably be your first all-India exam, so you need to fill out the application form properly. So, let us give you detailed guidelines to fill out the NEET 2023 Application form.

    Important Guidelines for NEET 2023 Application Form

    1. Enter correctly the information in the Online Application Form, such as the names of the candidate’s father/mother, with correct spellings, Class 12 Admit Card with Photograph/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Passport Number/Ration Card Number/Bank Account Number/Other valid Govt. Identity Card Number, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, and Email Id.

    2. The candidates need to show any one of the following Identity documents:

    4. Candidates should look into their eligibility given in the NEET 2023 information brochure before applying for the exam.

    5. The Candidate should fill in complete current and permanent address with the pin code, e-mail address, and mobile number (own or Parents/Guardian only).

    6. Candidates must ensure that the mobile numbers and e-mail addresses provided in the online Application Form are their own or those of their parents/guardians, as NTA will communicate via SMS or e-mail to the provided mobile number and e-mail address (Candidate must not give the contact information of their Coaching Centres)

    7. Any application form other than the one completed online will be rejected. Candidates are not required to send the Online Application Form’s Confirmation Page or any other document to the NTA. They are urged, however, to keep at least four copies of the Confirmation Page, as well as confirmation of fee payment, for future reference.

    8. Applicants from UT of J&K and Ladakh have to submit an online Self Declaration for seats under 15% All India Quota.

    Step-by-Step fill-up process of NEET 2023 Application Form

    1. Candidates need to visit the NEET 2023 website, the new user must register at ‘New Registration’ and fill in the required details to apply. An existing user must log in at ‘Only Registered Candidates Sign in’ with their application number and password.
    2. Enter the captcha and click ‘Preview and Next’. Check the provided information thoroughly and click ‘Next’.
    3. Select the OTP option and enter the OTP number received in the registered phone number and click the ‘Submit’ option.
    4. After the registration, click the option ‘Click here log in’ and the existing user will straight log in with their account details and start filling up the form.
    5. Candidates who are registering, need to enter a new password, confirm the new password and select a security question (make sure to remember or note down the password and security question for future logins).
    6. Details that were entered during registration will be pre-filled in the application form and cannot be changed, so fill in the details carefully.
    7. After the contact details, another set of details you have to fill up:
      • Personal Details
      • Aadhar Details
      • Apply For and Exam Centre Details
      • Qualification Details
      • Additional Details
      • Documents Upload
    8. Fill the Personal Details section with the Candidate’s name, Father’s and Mother’s name, DOB, Gender, Nationality and Cast categories. Fill up other various other options accordingly:
      • Candidate’s Name/ Father’s Name/ Mother’s Name as it appears on the Secondary School Certificate or comparable Board/University Certificate, in capital letters must be entered.
      • Date of Birth in the format of dd/mm/yyyy as given in the Secondary School Examination or comparable Board/University certificate.
      • Enter the Gender and Nationality of the candidate.
      • Enter the Permanent address of the candidate’s own or Parents/Guardians with Pin Code and district.
      • Candidates are only to provide their own or their Parent’s/Guardian’s Mobile Number and e-mail address.
    9. Fill the Mode of Preparation, either with self-study or through a study institute depending on the candidate.
    10. Enter the captcha or security pin and click ‘Save Next’.
    11. Enter Aadhar details in the Aadhar section.
    12. Next, click ‘Appy For’ and select ‘National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG)’.
    13. Enter the Exam centres according to the candidate’s convenience.
    14. Enter Father’s and Mother’s occupations and qualifications.
    15. Next, the candidate will enter his/her qualification details along with his/her school details.
    16. After this, fill up the Additional Details section along with the document upload.
    17. Then, the candidate needs to verify their e-mail address.
    18. Select the payment online option and choose the suitable payment method.

    NEET 2023 General Instructions by NTA

    1. The candidate must log in to the NEET 2023 examination website and register as soon as it is available. Doing the registration late may fall to issues like server down or payment failure etc.
    2. Candidates must not fabricate or give any false details in their application form. Candidates with such offences, their application will be rejected and will not be debarred from appearing in the NTA-conducted exams.
    3. If incomplete or does not follow the instruction given in the application form, that kind of application form will be rejected without any further intimation.
    4. Once the fee is submitted it will not be refundable. Plus, the fee will not get carried to future examinations. Furthermore, mere deduction of fees from the bank is not proof of fee payment. One has to show the fees Confirmation receipt given to the candidate after the successful payment.
    5. The NEET 2023 examination would be recorded in its entirety. During the videography, the candidates must keep their heads upright and face the camera so that their identification can be readily confirmed. The candidates should consent to the recording throughout the assessment.
    6. Merely qualifying for the NEET 2023 exam does not guarantee selection and admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses seats in any Medical Institution Undergraduate Medical Courses are subject to meeting the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in the merit list, medical fitness, and any other criteria prescribed by the Government of India, respective States, Universities, Institutions, and Medical/ Dental/ Ayurveda/ Siddha/ Unani/ Homeopathy Colleges.

    1. How to retrieve a forgotten NEET Application Form number?

    Visit the NEET website and click ‘Forgot Application Number’. Enter the same information as your previous application like Candidate’s, Father’s, Mother’s Name, DOB, Categories and security PIN. Click submit and receive the application number on your registered phone number.

    2. How to reset a forgotten password?
